Length from inside of Flange to end is 37-3/8".

Tech Note 1: Narrow or Wide Frame
Dana lists a few 1999-2010 Ford F350, narrow frame, chassis cab vehicles with a right axle shaft that measures 38-7/8" from end of spline to the inside of the axle shaft flange. Ford would list chassis cab trucks that use the wider axle as narrow frame, wide track models.
Tech Note 2: D80 vs. Sterling
Most Ford F350 duallys with gas V8 engines will have a Sterling rear axle instead of a Dana 80. The axle shafts are NOT interchangeable between the two axle makes.
Tech Note 3: Wear
If your axle shaft splines are worn, chances are the matching differential side gear teeth are also worn. If significant spline wear is evident on your old shaft, replace the differential side gears also to prevent premature axle shaft spline failure.
