QU20187 First Design Ford NV271F Transfer Case Front Case Half

QU20187 First Design Ford New Process NV271F Manual Shift Transfer Case Front Case Half includes QU50250 input bearing, QU10906 front output bearing, and the planetary annulus ring. QU20187 fits Ford 1999-2005 plus those 2006-2007 F-250, F-350, F450, F-550 4x4 trucks with New Process NV271F manual shift transfer cases having Front Case casting number 24249.

NOTE: QU20187 does NOT include QU11092 Front Case Breather Vent Fitting

Tech Note 1: NV271 & NV273F
Both NV271F and NV273F Transfer Case Case Halves have the same 24249 casting number. However the NV271F and NV273F Front Cases are NOT interchangeable due to machining differences.

Tech Note 2: 2006-newer
Most 2006 and newer Super Duty trucks built after June 14, 2005 use QU50801 second design front case which does not use QU10974 screw in Sector Shaft Support. QU50801 Second Design front case will have a casting number of 48874.

Tech Note 4: New Venture/New Process/Magna
In 1998, when Ford introduced the new 1999 4x4 Super Duty models with NV271F and NV273F transfer cases, New Process Gear (NPG) of East Syracuse N.Y was part of New Venture Gear (NVG). When NVG dissolved, NPG continued on under Chyrsler. Chyrsler subsequently sold the production rights to Magna, a Canadian automotive parts company. All these name changes are confusing, but the important thing to know is a specific assembly number for any 271F and 273F transfer case is the same and uses the same replacement parts regardless if it was built by New Venture, New Process, or Magna.
