QU20041 Ford Super Duty® New Venture NV271F, NV273F Transfer Case Output Seal is a genuine original equipment front or rear output seal for New Venture NV271F or NV273F Transfer Cases with fixed output yokes in Ford Excursion and Super Duty® F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 4x4 trucks from 1999 to 2007, will also work on 2005-2009 Chevy or GMC NV273C Transfer Cases in C4500, C5500 4x4 trucks in lieu of QU30174 Triple Lip Seal. USA Made.
NOTE: QU20041 seal has been REPLACED BY dimensionally interchangeable high-temp output Seal with a Viton lip QU20195.

Tech Note 1: Before Installation
Lubricate the Seal Lip with clean grease before installation to provide initial lubrication.
Tech Note 2: New Venture/New Process/Magna
When Ford (1999 models) and Dodge (2003 models) first used NV271 and NV273 transfer cases, New Process Gear (NPG) of East Syracuse N.Y. was part of New Venture Gear (NVG). When NVG dissolved, NPG continued on under Chrysler. Chrysler subsequently sold the production rights to Magna, a Canadian automotive parts company. All these name changes are confusing, but the important thing to know is a specific assembly number for any 271F, 271D, 273D, and 273F transfer case is the same and uses the same replacement parts regardless if it was built by New Venture, New Process, or Magna.
