Tech Note 1: Check Oil
These transfer cases are shipped by New Venture with a factory fill of oil, but leakage can occur during shipping if the case is tipped. Always check the oil level after installation and refill as needed.
Tech Note 2: Case Info
QU11158 assembly is the latest production model of 52123155 series of transfer cases. It includes all the production updates that were phased in over the years. QU11158 replaces all previous 52123155 versions including: 52123155 plus Dodge replacement R2123155 series cases.
Tech Note 3: Gasket Info
Dodge did not use a gasket between the transmission and transfer case as both the transmission output shaft and transfer case input shaft are sealed. However, you can use TK10519 Transmission to Transfer Case Gasket if you wish.
