Tech Note 1: Wear Areas
The NP241DHD Range Fork Sleeve is subject to wear in three places: The clutch teeth, Bearing Surface, and Hub/Snap ring area. Of the three, the most likely problem area is where the QU50151 Hub fits. It is not uncommon to find the shoulder, hub surface, and snap ring groove chewed up. There can be several causes including lubrication issues, mainshaft snap ring failures, and range fork (QU50078) wear.
