QT1036 Differential Press Step Plate for Dana 25, Dana 27, Dana 30, GM 10 Bolt, and early Ford 9" axles. QT1036 is used when pulling and/or installing your differential bearings. These plates fit in the axle shaft hole of your differential. Use as a push plate for bearing removal or to support the differential when pressing on new bearings. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Removing Bearings:
When removing your differential bearings, use this plate between your differential case and press screw or press ram. The tip of your press screw fits in the pilot hole drilled in the plate.
Tech Note 2: Installing Bearings:
For installing your diff bearings, place QT1036 Step Plate on your work bench top or press bed. Place your differential on the Step Plate, then press on the first bearing. Flip the diff over and press on the second bearing. Using the Step Plate protects the differential, but the most important function is to keep the outer cage of the first bearing you installed from being crushed against your workbench or press bed as you install the second bearing.
