Spindle Nuts have two functions and they are to provide for correct wheel bearing adjustment and to keep your rear wheel hubs in place. 1999-2016 Ford F-350 DRW Dana 80 rear axles use a right hand thread nut for both left and right sides. We stock the right hand thread original equipment single ratchet nut for your dually Ford. Ratchet type Spindle Nuts are reusable, but they often need replacement due to weakening of the tension spring or when the nut separates during removal. Given the critical job these nuts do, you should always replace any spindle nut that is not in perfect condition.
