Ford used both 1410 Series half-round Pinion Yokes and round companion flanges for 1999-2002 models. Starting in 2003, all Super Duty Dana 80 DRW axles will have a round companion flange. Two types of Pinion Seals are found on Dana 80 Dual Rear Wheel rear axles. 1999-2001.5 axles typically have a flange or yoke with a tapered or cone shaped slinger. These early production axles use QU40302 Seal which is NOT interchangeable with QU40473 2001.5-2010 model year Seal used on axles with yokes having flat slingers.
