Jeep 1962-1971 CJ-5 and CJ-6 plus 1967-1969 C-101 Jeepster Commandos with Dana 44 Rear Axles using tapered axles shafts use the same inner seal and wheel bearing cup/cone as older Jeeps. However, two different outer seals were used. QU50935 2" ID seal that seals on the wheel hub is the more common type, but some applications have a 1.375" ID seal that seals on the axle shaft. Also. although Jeep catalogs the tapered axle shaft design up to 1971, it was largely replaced by Dana 44 axles with flanged axle shafts by 1970.
