Dana 41 rear axle axles were built with the same bearings as the Dana 44 rear axles with tapered axle except for the inner pinion bearing. The original QU52119 Dana 41 inner bearing is dimensionally the same as QU50536 Dana 44 inner pinion bearing except for the radius on the inner bearing race is 0.140" instead of 0.062". You can save money by substituting QU50536 Dana 44 Bearing with 0.062" radius for QU52119 Dana 41 bearing with 0.140" radius. Axles with Tapered Axle Shafts will have 16 spline axle shafts and use QU50683 differential side bearings that have an Inside Diameter of 1.688". These bearings are not interchangeable with QU50538 1.796" ID bearing used on Dana 44 axles with 30 spline axle shafts. All bearings are not created equal for fit or durability, so we only stock first class, long lasting, Timken® Differential and Pinion Bearings for your Dana front axle. Timken® was and is a major original equipment supplier of top-notch bearing components to Dana Spicer. Since I first started rebuilding Dana axles in the mid 1970's, I have found Timken® Bearings to be the most consistent in relation to the published dimensions of any bearing on the market which makes rebuilding an axle right the first time a WHOLE lot easier!
