2013 RAM Front CV Driveshaft ID:
For the 2013 model year, RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 trucks have different front axles and front driveshafts. If you are not sure what front driveshaft you have, here are some easy identifiers:
1350 Series: Front Axle Flange and Front Flange on Driveshaft are Serrated: This is a feature of the 5 link suspension, non-disconnect, AAM axle used form 2003 to 2012 on the RAM 3500 and 2003-2013.5 on RAM 2500 4x4s. The factory CV shaft for this axle uses the 1350 series CV parts listed on our 2003-2013 RAM Front CV Driveshaft page.
1410 Series: Front Axle Flange and Front Flange on Driveshaft are Flat: Flat-Faced front flanges are used on all Ram 1410 series CV shafts. This will include all 2013 Ram 3500 4x4s with the 12-bolt electric disconnect front axle and 3 Link Suspension (2 long arms behind the axle), PLUS late production Ram 2500 trucks with the 14-bolt, non-disconnect front axle with 5 link suspension (4 short arms behind the axle).
U-Joint Width: 1350 series shafts have u-joints that have an installed width 3-5/8" (outside of cup to outside of cup) and the overall width of the yokes is about 3-7/8". 1410 series u-joint have an installed width of 4-3/16" and the overall width of the yokes is about4-7/16".
