QK1000AG Replacement 2 Filter Pack with Gaskets Replacement Filter Pack for QK1000 Manual Transmission Filter includes 2 Filter Elements, 2 Cork Gaskets, and 2 Paper Gaskets with factory applied sealant.
Tech Note 1: Applications
Most manual transmissions and transfer cases usually have no way to filter grit and wear particles from the oil. This means damaging contaminants in your oil will be constantly run through your bearings and gears which of course means even more junk in the oil and the ugly and expensive specter of early, catastrophic part failures. Our QK1000 Filter Kit is a simple, but astonishing effective, bolt-on, splash feed filter, that constantly cleanses your oil of both magnetic and non-magnetic particles. The QK1000 Filter can be installed on any manual transmission or transfer case with a standard SAE 6 Bolt Power Take Off Cover Plate on one or both sides of the gear case (The PTO Covers are often mistaken for an "Inspection Plate"). QK1000 fits popular transmissions like Borg Warner T18, T19, and T98 4 speeds, Dodge G56 6 Speed, Muncie SM420 and SM465 4 Speeds, New Process NP435 4 Speed, New Venture NV4500 5 Speed, New Venture NV5600 6 Speed, ZFS5-420 and S5-470 5 Speeds and ZF 6 Speed light truck transmissions. QK1000 also fits NP205 and NP241DHD transfer cases along with Borg Warner chain drive transfer cases with PTO covers.
The QK1000 works because of the movement of oil inside a transmission or transfer case. Oil in a gearbox is in constant, high-speed, motion when the vehicle is in operation. If you ever had the top cover off a transmission and absent mindlessly started the engine with a remote starter switch, you have seen how much and how fast the oil gets thrown about. When a QK1000 Filter is installed on your transmission or transfer case, and you are running at highway speeds, oil is thrown into the QK1000 inlet at high speed and with tremendous volume. It does not take long for crud in your oil to get trapped in the filter. Even at an idle, oil is constantly flowing through the filter element. In summary, The QK1000 Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Filter is effective and...... a whole lot cheaper than gears and bearings!
