QU50207 Rear Output Bearing for 1996 to 2002 New Process NP241DHD Transfer Cases with 31 spline output shafts is located on the mainshaft by 2 QU10817 snap rings. It is secured in the tailshaft housing by QU10815 Snap Ring which fits the groove in the outer race. This genuine, current production, original equipment bearing is imported.

Tech Note 1: When Installing
Getting the QU10815 Snap Ring to engage the bearing groove can be tricky as the Snap Ring is installed in the tailshaft or extension housing. When installing the tailshaft housing, you need to expand the ring and pull the output shaft a bit upward as you move the extension housing towards TK10586 Shim Gasket. Once the housing is against the gasket, you release tension on the Snap ring and it should snap into the bearing groove. An awful lot of NP241DHD Transfer Case parts are wrecked by people screwing up this step, so take your time and do the job right the first time!

Tech Note 2: Lubricate
Squirt a little Transfer Case oil on the bearing balls to provide start up lubrication.
