All 1974-1991 Jeep Dana 44 front axles had round, four slot spindle nuts from the factory. These parts can typically be reused, but you MUST always check the pin in the Inner Nut. IF the pin is damaged or broken, REPLACE THE NUT!!!
Although Jeep Parts Books show a 2" ID V-Seal for 1974-1979, I can not recall seeing any of Jeeps with the 2" Seal, all had the 2-1/4" ID Seal. In the early 1980's, we did get some Spindle Kits for 1974-1976 drum brake Cherokees on a closeout deal from Jeep that did include the 2" Seal so we are listing it and the small Slinger in case you need one for an early production axle, but most if not all 1974-1976 and ALL 1977 and newer J-Series axles have the 2-1/4" Seal and Thrust Washer set-up.
