Ring & Pinion Kits 2000-2002 Ram Dana 60F

Unless your axle has run out of oil or it is severely abused, you will probably never have to replace your original ring and pinion set. However, if you do need one, we stock original equipment Dana-Spicer Gear Sets for your Ram's Model 60 front axle. These genuine gear sets are not cheap when compared to the host of knock off Asian import gear sets being pushed into the market place by vendors focused on getting the cheapest stuff they can. Well, like anything, you get what you pay for. I have been setting up Dana Gear Sets since the mid 1970's to date, and I have never had a setup problem with a genuine Dana-Spicer Gear Set. The same is not true for the aftermarket parts. Besides having sloppy machining, most aftermarket gears are not made to use the Dana factory set up tools, so a person usually has to apply some blood-boiling "Kentucky Windage" to the setup procedure to make progress.

You will often see the stock "fast" ratio called either 3.54 ratio or 3.55 ratio. Even Dana catalogs will list this gear set as a 3.54 in one catalog and 3.55 in the next. Actual tooth count is 39 ring gear teeth and 11 pinion gear teeth, which makes the true ratio 3.545, so technically 3.55 is correct once rounded to the nearest ratio. The 4.10 Ratio is a true 4.10 having 41 ring gear teeth and 10 pinion gear teeth. The higher the numeric ratio, the greater the gear reduction.
