GM offered quite a wide range of gearing for 1960-1966 Dana 44 and Dana 44HD front axles. Although not every ratio was used for every year, the available ratios included 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, and 4.56. Some early pinion shafts may have had 26 splines, but most production gearsets have 26 splines as do all the new replacement pinions. We have available both Dana original equipment replacement Ring and Pinion Kits which include the gear set plus pinion bearings, pinion seal, and small parts AND standard and high performance aftermarket ring and pinion sets in ratios from 3.07 to 5.89. For budget tight jobs we may also have geeod used gear sets in stock.
