The outer wheel bearings used on all 1974-1991 Jeep Dana 44 front axles are the same. For the wheel seal and inner wheel bearing, there are choices for 1977 and prior trucks depending upon the year and model of your 4x4. 1977 is the transition year where you could have either early or late bearing types. The two types ARE NOT interchangeable!
Jeep used four different combinations of wheel bearing and seals numbers for 1974 to 1991 Dana 44 front drive axles. The model and year breaks are:
1974-1976 Cherokee, J-10 Pickup, Wagoneer with front drum brakes use TK4911J/TK4912J
1974-1977-1/2 Cherokee, J-10 Pickup, Wagoneer with front disc brakes use TK4714J/TK4742J Kits
1974-1977-1/2 J-20 with external mount lockout hubs or drive flanges use TK4708J/TK4779J
1977-1/2-1991 All Models use TK4715J/TK4743J Kits
