Depending upon the year, a cut gasket or RTV sealant was used by Dana-Spicer to seal the differential cover. Early, thin gauge covers with embossed flanges are made for use with a cut gasket. Later thick gauge covers with flat flanges are designed for sealing with RTV or if you desire, you can use a combination of a cut gasket with thin films of RTV. We stock both genuine Dana Gaskets and Ultra Gray RTV Sealant which has high adhesion and excellent resistance to synthetic lubricants.
