International first used Dana 44 Open Knuckle Front Axles in 1971 for 1972 model year 1110 and 1210 4x4s. The 1972-1973 IHC Axle Codes for the 1/2 ton Dana 44 axles with Drum Brakes is 02046 or FA46. The 3/4 tons are designated 02045 or FA45. For 1974-1975 Disc Brake equipped 100 and 150 series 1/2 ton 4x4s, the Axle Codes 02062 or FA62. 1974-1975 3/4 ton 200 Series trucks use a Code 02063 or FA63.
