Safety Data Sheet

Tech Note 1: Use with
Mopar® ATF+4® Transmission Fluid is THE current factory recommended fluid for any 2000 and newer Dodge, Jeep, Ram vehicle component that requires ATF+4 fluid. Mopar® ATF+4® Transmission Fluid is ALSO the current Mopar recommended fluid for many older Chrysler vehicles as it is backwards compatible with ATF+, ATF+2, ATF+3, and MS7176.

Tech Note 2: Synthetic?
Although Chrysler does not market it as such, Mopar® ATF+4® Transmission Fluid would meet the marketing definitions for being a synthetic or synthetic blend oil.

Tech Note 3: Tech
ATF+4® has been formulated to meet the exact requirements of FCA (formerly known as Chrysler) transmissions. Only highly refined or man-made base oils that meet specific performance standards along with proprietary additives are qualified for use. For Canada, the part number for ATF+4 is 68218057CB.

Tech Note 4: What about Dexron II?
Older factory Shop Manuals list Dexron II as a Chrysler approved replacement for ATF+ fluid so you can also use Mopar® ATF+4® Transmission Fluid in 1999 or older Dodge, Jeep, or Plymouth vehicles originally calling for Dexron II or ATF Type 7176. One caveat here, if you have an older vehicle with original components, the advanced detergents in ATF+4 do such a good job cleaning that old, worn out seals may start to seep or leak. This is not a problem with new or rebuilt replacement parts, but by now most of the original seals in vehicles made prior to 2000 are on the verge of failure due to age and heat degradation.

Tech Note 5: Do Not Use In
A partial list of gear boxes that you Do Not Use Mopar® ATF+4® Transmission Fluid in includes:
New Venture NV3500, NV4500, NV5600 manual transmissions
New Process NP435 and NP445 manual transmissions
New Process NP200, NP201, NP203, and NP205 Transfer Cases
Borg Warner 44-46 and 44-47 Transfer Cases
