Proper lubrication and replacing damaged tubing is often the difference between a first class, long-term repair and a short lived nightmare.
Driveshaft attachment hardware is one of the most overlooked components requiring frequent replacement. Ford used bolts with factory pre-applied Threadlocker on the bolt threads. While you can reuse these bolts if you use liquid Threadlocker, you can not compensate for either head wear or bolt fatigue. Replacing your driveshaft attachment hardware when performing other driveshaft service is good preventative maintenance.
