Ford Excursion 4x4 trucks have a rear driveshaft slip joint protected by a rubber boot. A boot protected driveshaft slip joint will usually outlast the truck as as long as the boot is intact and there is some grease on the splines. If your Boot is damaged, REPLACE IT! If your Boot is OK, but you are doing other driveshaft service, always clean and grease the splines AND replace the clamps!
Ford used a number of different Rear Driveshaft Slip Yokes for the Excursion 4x4 vehicles. You need to know the U-Joint size and the number of splines on the male Slip Stub.
