QT1512 Dual Rear Wheel Seal Installer for early Dodge Dana 60HD or 70

QT1512 Dodge Dana 60HD or 70 Dual Rear Wheel Seal Installer is specifically made to install QU40451 and similar inner wheel seals in 1993 and earlier Dodge 1 ton trucks with Dana 70 rear axles and dual rear wheels. Also fits 1972-1979 Dana 60HD B300, CB300, MB300, M300, R300, P300 with Dual Rear Wheels. Most of these trucks have a tin outer shield around the back of the wheel hub that is supposed to channel oil from a leaking seal away from the brake shoes. QT1512 is made to pass through the inside diameter of the shield which is only slightly larger than the outside diameter of the seal. Installing a wheel seal without damaging it in these older Dodge trucks is very difficult without the use of this Installer. A relief groove in the installer allows adequate clearance for the outer seal lip, thereby preventing one of the most common causes of premature seal failure. Use with a QT1100 series Installer Handle. Aluminum Installer is Made in U.S.A. by us here in Roberts, Montana.

Tech Note 1: Restricted diameter:
The restricted diameter of the 1993 and earlier Dodge hub shield prevents the use of a conventional installer like our QT1501 which seats against the hub face.

Tech Note 2: Lube:
After the seal is installed, lubricate the seal lips with clean wheel bearing grease.
