Description
QU95036 7/16" Fine Thread Class C Lock Nut for Front Spindle and Universal Applications is an American Made, high-strength, All-Metal locknut compatible with Grade 8 bolts. QU95036 is most commonly used with QU40539, QU40540 to secure the front axle spindle to the steering knuckle on 1970's to 1990's Ford 4x4 vehicles with open knuckle Dana 44, Dana 44IFS, Dana 50IFS and Dana 60 front axles with serviceable wheel bearings. QU95036 is also the replacement all-metal lock nut for 1990 and prior Dana 60 and 70 rear axle shaft retention on axles that use 7/16" studs and QU42009 tapered cones to lock the axle shafts against the wheel hub. QU95036 can also be used on many other automotive and conventional applications with 7/16-20 thread per inch SAE bolts or studs.

Our QU95036 heat treated, lot certified, USA made, Class C Locknuts have 150,000 psi minimum proof strength and are designed to be used with matching Grade 8 fasteners. This type of nut resists loosening even when subjected to severe vibration. Plated for corrosion resistance. Meets IFI and ANSI specifications.
