Description
QT1103 1" x 8" Driver Handle with 1/2" tip is used during hub removal on 1994 and newer Dodge Ram 4x4 trucks with solid beam front axles. Dodge Factory Shop Manuals call for hitting the partially backed out heads of your very expensive hub-to-knuckle bolts with a hammer in order to drive the hub from the knuckle. However, this will mushroom over, and ruin the bolt heads. While the Dodge service procedure rarely works on rusted in hubs, it almost always works in situations where corrosion is not a major factor. With this tool, you can insert the small end in the square drive hole of your impact socket and strike the opposite end with your heavy hammer. This way the bolt heads remain undamaged as you drive out the hub. Made in Roberts, Montana U.S.A.

We also offer QT1073 Air Hammer attachment that is intended for the same job, but instead of using a socket, the inside of the tool is smooth. Unfortunately, although the tool works to drive out the hub, the smooth inside of the tip usually beats the heck out of the bolt heads.
