TK8304 SRW Torque King® Master Rear Wheel Bearing and Seal Kit with Installation Tools for 1972-1993 Dodge Ram 3/4 and 1 Ton trucks with Dana 60HD and Dana 70 Single Rear Wheel Rear Axles features premium Timken® bearings and original equipment quality wheel seals because when it comes to rear wheel bearings and seals, only the best will do to safely support the heavy loads your truck hauls. Kit includes Wheel Bearing Cup Installers, Wheel Seal Installer, Driver Handle, Inner and Outer Wheel Timken® Bearings/Bearing Cups, Inner Wheel Seals, Steel Axle Shaft Flange Gaskets, and Threadlocker for the axle shaft flange bolts. This Kit fits 1972 to 1993 Dodge 4x2 and 4x4 200, 250, 300, or 350 series trucks with Single Rear Wheel Dana 60HD or Dana 70 Rear Drive Axles that have 2" Spindle Threads.

Tech Note 1: SAFETY NOTE!
Stock Elastic Stop Spindle Nuts and Lock Wedges used on Dodge Dana 70 rear axles after approximately January 8, 1979 are designed to be installed once and only once! For safety reasons, you must discard both the nut and wedge if they are removed from the spindle for any reason. Both parts lose a percentage of their resistance of coming off when they are removed. You may hear of cases where this type of factory nut has come off while the truck was being driven. Invariably, these failures involve nuts and wedges that have been reused or improperly installed. NEVER REUSE FACTORY ELASTIC STOP SPINDLE NUTS and LOCK WEDGES!!!!!

Tech Note 4: Grease Bearings
Under operating conditions, the rear wheel bearings are bathed in oil from the differential, but they do need to be packed with grease to provide initial lubrication.

Tech Note 5: Spindle Nut Design
For Dana 60 and Dana 70 full-floating rear axles, Dodge changed from using a double spindle nut setup (QK4730) to a single nut with lock (QK4015) effective January 9, 1979.
