QU20283U Used Dana 60 Right Inner Axle Shaft for 1999-2004 Ford F-250, F-350 will fit any 1999-2004 Ford F250 or F350 Super Duty 4x4 including F350 trucks with dual rear wheels. Our QU20283U axles shafts are from Dana 60 axles that we acquired for our Research and Development Department. These are good, usable right (passenger side in North America) inner axle shafts that we have checked for significant wear or damage before offering them for sale. Most of these shafts will be rusty outboard of the seal location, but the use and function is not impaired. Available while supplies last.

Tech Note 1: Matching U-Joints
QU40318 uses stock size universal joints made to Spicer 1480 Wheel Joint dimensional specifications. The yoke holes are 1-3/8" in diameter cups and the inside span between the yoke ears is 3". The matching u-joints for QU20283U Axle Shaft are: QU30332 (hot-forged, greaseable) TK40715 (cold-forged, non-greaseable), and TK40724 (cold-forged, greaseable).

Tech Note 3: U-Joint Tools
Most axle shaft universal joint service is done using makeshift tools and hammering on the parts until something gives. Axle Shafts and Axle universal joints are precise components that can be easily damaged by such slam-bang work. There is a better way to perform u-joint service using application specific press tooling and approved service procedures. Tech Note 4: Axle Models
Ford initially used a Dana 50 front axle on Super Duty F-250 and single Rear Wheel (SRW) F350 4x4 trucks. As far as I have seen all the dually F350's have a Dana 60, but for 2000-2002 you have to verify which axle you have for F-250 and F-350 SRW models as both Dana 50 and Dana 60 axles were subsequently used for these trucks. Externally, the two axles appear identical so you must be sure which axle you have before ordering inner axles shafts and differential parts as they NOT interchangeable between the two axle models. As far as I can determine, the Dana 50 was last used in 2002 in the F250/F350, however there good be some base engine or fleet models with a 50 through 2004. If you are unsure of which axle model you have, call us with the seven digit axle take number that begins with a "6" (ex: 611159-2)
