QU20272U Used Dana 60 Internal Diff Kit is a good used 35 spline "spider gear" set taken from axle assemblies our Research and Development Department had for part verification and tool design purposes. It includes the 4 gears, 4 thrust washers, and cross shaft. Order new QU40519 cross shaft retaining pin, 12 QU40086 ring gear bolts, and S82194 RTV Sealant or QU40367 Diff Cover Gasket separately. Tech Note 1: Always Check
Broken gear teeth are obvious, but much more common is just plain wear. Always check the condition of the thrust washers and for signs of wear on the cross shaft. Also inspect the side gear diff case bores for being worn oversize.
