Tech Note 1: Matching Bearings 
Always replace the cup and cone at the same time. The matching Taper Bearings are QU50702 (1-3/4" ID ) and QU50703 (1-13/16" ID).

Tech Note 2: Lubrication 
Front Wheel Bearings MUST be fully packed with grease before installation. This means all the voids between the bearing rollers must be filled with grease and the contact areas of the rollers along with the matching bearing cup must be covered with a film of grease.

Rear wheel bearings used in vintage full-floating axles must be packed before installation to provide initial lubrication until gear lube from the differential can work its way into the wheel hub.

Always use, new, quality, clean grease to pack bearings. For most applications, NLGI#2 EP rated grease is recommended for Wheel Bearings. Disc Brake applications also require the grease be approved for Disc Brake use and/or have a high-temperature rating. Use of Bearing Packer QT5500 is recommended.

QU50703 Bearing Outside Diameter is 3-1/8".

Tech Note 4: Where Used
QU50701 is mainly used as both the inner wheel and outer wheel bearing cup for front axle applications and the outer bearing cup for rear wheel applications. Matching Bearing Cup Installer is QT1821.

Tech Note 5: IHC & Jeep
International and Jeep truck year and model application information are often difficult to precisely list due to the relatively low production numbers and the fact that both manufacturers often built special purpose vehicles for government and vocational applications.
