QU50441 Rear Driveshaft 1485 Series Slip Yoke w/o Vibration Dampener

QU50441 2003-2012 4x4 Dodge Ram Rear Driveshaft 1485 Series Slip Yoke without Vibration Dampener for 2003 to 2012 4x4 Dodge or Ram Ram 2500 and Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Cummins Diesel or gas V10 trucks. QU50441 fits both manual and automatic transmission applications including 2003-2004 trucks with NV4500HD 5 speed manual transmissions, 2003-2012 with 6 speed manual transmissions and 34 spline slip yoke style transfer case rear output shafts. Also fits many 2007 and later Cummins Diesel/automatic Dodge 4x4 trucks. This genuine original equipment Slip Yoke fits all slip yoke style NP271D, NP273D. NV271D, and NV273D transfer cases. The u-joint cup diameter is 1-3/8". This is typically used on 1 piece driveshafts on trucks with shorter wheel bases. For two piece shafts see QU50430. Made in Mexico.

Tech Note 1: Lubricate 
Lubricate the seal lip and yoke shaft with clean grease or petroleum jelly to provide initial lubrication.

Tech Note 2: U-Joint Size
QU50441 is made to fit universal joints made American Axle Manufacturing 1485 series specifications. The cup diameter is 1.375" and the overall joint width is 4.178". DO NOT use universal joints made to Spicer 1480 series specifications which are 0.010" wider than this Yoke is designed for!!!!

Tech Note 3: Specs
QU50441 is 9-9/16" long from the end of spline to the center of the u-joint hole. It is made to fit either 34 spline or 33 based on 34 spline shafts.

Tech Note 4: Matching Parts
Matching Transfer Case Output Shaft is QU10996. Matching AAM original equipment universal joint is QU40766. Matching Transfer Case Rear Output Seal is QU10930, Matching Transfer Case Rear Output Support Bushing is QU50261.

Tech Note 5: Manuals
More driveshaft yokes are wrecked by slam-bang methods of u-joint replacement than by any other cause. Refer to TM3000 Driveshaft and Universal Joint Manual or TSB3502 External Snap Ring Single-Cardan U-Joint Service.

Tech Note 6: AAM
American Axle Manufacturing (AAM) was formed in 1994 when GM sold off five powertrain plants to a group of investors. Since that time, AAM has been the primary supplier of light truck axle and driveshaft parts for GM. Effective with the 2003 model year until 2009 on front driveshafts, 2012 on rear driveshafts, and to the present day on beam-type axles. AAM has also been the primary vendor for Ram truck powertrain assemblies.
