QU50414 rear axle fitment includes Dodge Single Rear Wheel 3/4 ton and 1 ton 4x2 and 4x4 trucks from 1972 to 1993 equipped with Dana 70 rear axles that have 2" spindle threads. Tech Note 1: Always Replace
Always replace the cup and cone at the same time.

Tech Note 2: Grease
To obtain maximum life from a wheel bearing it must be properly lubricated and adjusted. Given the multiple fitments of this bearing, it is impossible to provide specific lubrication and adjustment specifications for all applications, however here are some general guidelines.

4x4 Front Wheel Bearings: All spaces between the bearing rollers must filled by packing the bearing with clean, quality grease. Packing grease between the bearing rollers can be accomplished several ways. I prefer using QT5500 bearing packer, but whatever method is used requires clean hands, a clean bearing, and clean grease. Also make sure the hub and bearing cup are cleaned of all old lubricant, metal chips, and dirt. For grease, I use QU90018 Pyroplex synthetic grease, but most NLGI #2 greases rated for high temperatures will work. Some additional grease should be used to coat the bearing cups and wheel seal lip, plus the area in the hub between the bearings should have some extra grease to provide additional bearing lubrication, but do not completely fill the space between the bearings with grease. Wheel bearing adjustment specs vary by vehicle, but most applications call for end-play in the 0.001" to 0.010" range.

Rear Wheel Bearings: When used on rear full-float axle applications, the long term wheel bearing lubrication is provided by oil from the differential that flows down the axle tubes and gets trapped in the wheel hubs. However, the bearings must be lubricated to provide initial lubrication until oil from the diff works it's way down. On older trucks with simple grease seals, most shop manuals will call for packing or at least coating the bearings with grease. With most later model trucks using oil-bath seals, the bearings are coated with gear oil and also some gear oil is put in the wheel hub space between the 2 bearing cups. Again, wheel bearing adjustment specs will vary by vehicle, but most manuals specify 0.001" to 0.009" end-play.
