Description

QU50398 2-1/4" ID Timken® Tapered Wheel or Diff Side Bearing is most commonly used in axle differential and wheel bearing applications. This is a First Class, original equipment quality bearing that meets or exceeds all vehicle manufacturer specifications making it the top choice for heavy-duty applications like yours. Country of origin may vary as Timken produces Bearings in plants located around the globe, however, QU50398 is almost always made in either Canada or the United States. Sold individually.

Tech Note 1: Replace Cup and Cone
Always replace the cup and cone at the same time.

Tech Note 2: Matching Cup
The matching Bearing Cup will vary by application, but for Dana-Spicer Model 60, 61, and 70 Differentials, the matching Cup is QU50397. If you need two Cups and 2 Cones, see QU40184 Differential Bearing Set which includes two each QU50397 and QU50398. Most wheel bearing applications will have QU50396 as the matching Cup.

Tech Note 3: Differential Set Up
If you are installing a new gear set and/or a new differential you will need QT1098 Differential Master Bearings for Dana axles and a dial indicator all axle makes. If one or both of your differential bearing cups wore sideways into the housing or a diff bearing spun on the differential and tore the shims, you will also need these tools to determine the correct shim packs. Both conditions are very common on rear axles especially with Diesel powered trucks.
