QA50268 Rear Differential Bearing and Seal Kit for 1974-1999 Dodge 9-1/4" Rear Axles features first class Timken® Differential and Pinion Bearings, Pinion Seal, Pinion Nut, Crush Sleeve, Gear Marking Compound, Threadlocker, and RTV Sealant. This Kit, plus 2 wheel seals is usually all the parts needed when you are doing a simple diff rebearing job and not replacing your Ring and Pinion Set.

Tech Note 1: Pinion Seal
The Pinion Seal included with this Kit is a good quality aftermarket part. For a Premium Quality, Original Equipment Pinion Seal for your 1974-1999 truck, order optional QU11076 Seal.

Tech Note 2: Wear
Inspect your pinion yoke hub for wear or damage in the area where the seal rides. Replace any yoke that has significant grooving or other conditions that could wreck or prematurely wear your new seal.

Tech Note 3: Early and Late Bearings
Dodge used QU50570 Inner Pinion Cup and QU50571 Inner Pinion Bearing in 9-1/4" rear axles through 1999 and in some 2000 model year axles. Most 2000 and all 2001-2007 9-1/4" rear axles have the more expensive QU50606 Inner Pinion Bearing Cup and QU50607 Inner Pinion Bearing which have the same assembled external dimensions as the earlier numbers. You can use the later QU50606 and QU50607 together to replace the earlier QU50570 and QU50571 assembly but you should not substitute the earlier bearings on later axles due to load ratings.
