TK4915 2" ID Front or Rear Wheel Bearing Only Kit with Timken Bearings for many Ford and Dodge Dana 60 Rear Axles PLUS Some 1987-1988 Ford Bronco and F150 Dana 44IFS Front Axles. TK4915 Kit includes Four 2" ID Timken Wheel Bearings plus matching bearing cups. It fits most 1969-1979 Ford F250 Dana 60 rear axles, 1977-1993 Dodge 3/4 ton Dana 60 rear axles, PLUS some manual hub equipped 1987-1988 Ford F150 and Bronco Dana 44IFS front axles.

Tech Note 2: 1969 Ford
Ford made a rear hub design change during the 1969 the model year. My Ford parts book lists the change effective at VIN F30001. Most aftermarket sources list the change occurring at VIN F70001. If your 1969 F250 has a VIN between F30000 and F70001, you should physically verify which bearings and seals you need. The early 1969 axles have 1-13/16" spindle threads. Later production axles have 2" spindle threads and use this Kit.

Tech Note 3: 1979 Dodge
Dodge made a spindle nut design change during the 1979 the model year. The change was effective with trucks produced after January 8, 1979. Vehicles produced up to January 8, 1979 use a double spindle nut secured with bend-over tab lock washer (QU40051 Lock Washer and 2 QU11070 Nut) for each hub. Starting with January 9, 1979 production, Dodge used a single elastic stop nut with a lock wedge (QU40089 Wedge and QU40077 Nut).

Tech Note 4: Rear Wheel Bearing Lubrication
Under operating conditions, the rear wheel bearings are bathed in oil from the differential, but they do need to be packed with grease to provide initial lubrication.

Tech Note 5: 1987-1988 Ford F150 and Bronco
For part of the 1987 and 1988 model years, Ford built F150 and Bronco 4x4s with two different wheel hubs. Most vehicles have a conventional, internally splined wheel hub with widely spaced wheel bearings, however some manual hub equipped models were built with pancake type wheel hubs that use closely spaced wheel bearings and have a flange mount hub lock. This Kit works on the axles with the pancake hubs.
