Our unique installer design will press in new your Inner Axle Seals to the exact depth and without damage because the CNC Precision Machined Installation Tool cups the seal so force is only applied on the steel seal shell. Tech Note 1: Remove
Your brakes, wheel hubs, axle shafts, and differential must be removed from the housing to replace your QU40159 inner axle shaft seals.

Tech Note 2: Inner Axle Seals
The inner axle seals used on Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, IHC, and Jeep closed and open knuckle Dana Model 44 Front Axles will vary by year and model.

Tech Note 3: Depth Stop
TS4834 uses QT1136 application specific Depth Stop Seal Installer which stop against the Dana 44 axle bore chamfer when QU40159 seal is at the correct depth.

Tech Note 4: Seals and Tools Must Match
Due to the way we have to make the tool to function, your Seal Installer and Seal MUST match. QT1136 Installer will only work with original equipment design, NOK manufactured seals such as our QU40159. Seals manufactured by other seal manufacturers WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS INSTALLER!!!!

Tech Note 5: Seal Remover Tool Set
Once the axle is disassembled, the old seals can be easily removed with our QK4647 Seal Remover Tool Set or other suitable tool such as a length of sturdy pipe that will fit inside the axle tube. You will also need to clean the inside of the axle tube to remove dirt and crud that could get pushed into your new seal during reassembly.
