QK4727 Dana 30 & Dana 44 Front Spindle Nut Kit with Round 4-Slot & 1-5/8" Thread Nuts

QK4727 4 Slot Dana 30, Dana 44, GM 10 Bolt Front Spindle Nut Kit includes one each genuine original equipment QU40004 Inner Spindle Nut, QU40060 Spindle Nut Lock Washer, and QU40031 Outer Spindle Nut which fit many Dana 30 (Ford Bronco) Dana 44 (All Makes), GM 10 Bolt (Chevy/GMC), and 1974-1977 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Dana 60 front drive axles. This nut was used as the inner spindle nut on most SUV's, 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton Chevy, Ford, and GMC trucks with serviceable wheel bearings from the late 1950's to the early 1990's. Dodge used it from 1969-1974. Jeep J-series full size 4x4s also used these parts from 1973-1989. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Fitment
QK4727 Spindle Nut Kit fits spindles with thread diameters of 1-5/8".

Tech Note 2: Installation
The pin that protrudes from the outboard face of QU40004 Inner Spindle Nut is an anti-rotation device that engages with one of the holes in QU40060 Spindle Lock Washer. Installing the lock washer without having the pin engage one of the holes will either break or bend the pin. Improperly installed nuts and washer sets can back off during vehicle operation and possibly cause the hub and wheel assembly to fall off which may lead to severe injury or death.

Tech Note 3: Tool
Use with QT1012 or QT1025 Spindle Nut Sockets. The spindle nut tightening procedure and torque specification varies widely depending upon the year and model. Consult a factory shop manual for your vehicle.
