Tech Note 1: Before Removing
The Axle Shaft Universal Joints in your AAM 9.25 front axle are pressed in with quite a tight fit, plus they have a tendency to rust to the axle shafts. While it is possible to beat them out and in, you should know an awful lot of axle shafts are wrecked by slam-bang service methods. The preferred removal and installation procedures will use a C-Frame Press with adequately sized tooling such as our QT1065M Presses, QT4009 Press Yoke, QT4011 Press Tip, and QT4015 Anvil.
