TK42053 Blue Torque King® Heavy-Duty Anodized Aluminum Replacement Hub Dial is a precision made, CNC machined anodized aluminum replacement Dial for the big, factory installed, 6 bolt, external mount Spicer lockout hubs used on 1970-1972.5 Chevy K20 and 1970-1972.5 GMC K25 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks. These new aluminum Blue Dials were made for GM, but the Dial is functionally interchangeable with TK30198 Gold/Yellow Dials also used by GM and TK40256 Red Dials used by Ford. Sold Individually. Tech Note 1: Wear
The usually reliable, original equipment Spicer Plastic Dial hubs were massive things, but they did have a weak spot with the Dial which may crack around the two small cross pin holes especially in cold weather or when the hubs are packed with excessive grease.

Tech Note 2: Fitment
TK42053 Blue Hub Dial will physically fit Spicer original equipment Ford and GM external mount lockout hubs that have the Plastic Dial in QU40546 Chrome Outer Cap which is bolted to the truck with 6 QU40257 3/8 Hex Socket Bolts.

Tech Note 3: Dana 44, Dana 60
Spicer made external mount Plastic Dial free-wheel Hub-Locks from 1972 to mid 1977. These Hubs were the factory original equipment parts for both to Ford and GM 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks with Dana 44 front axles. They were also used on Ford F-250 Crew Cab trucks with Dana 60 closed knuckle front axles from 1974-1975. Most parts for these hubs have been out of production for decades so parts availability is becoming quite limited.

Tech Note 4: Plastic Dials
Over the years we went through many hundreds of replacement hub dials for 1972-1977 Dana external mount hublocks. We sold the last plastic dial we had in the fall of 2015. Continued demand for replacement dials made it feasible to introduce our new TK42053 Heavy-Duty Anodized Aluminum Dial which is not only stronger than the original plastic dials, but also less expensive than what we paid for the last few plastic dials we could find.
