Tech Note 1: Matches
QU40855 is 14 based on 16 spline Slip Yoke that will match 1-1/2" x 14, 15, or 16 spline slip stubs. QU40855 measures approximately 7-5/16" from center of hole to end and it is the same length and spline as the factory Ford part, but the barrel is beefed up between the yoke and boot groove for greater strength. A weak spot with the original Ford yoke is at the point the yoke meets the barrel. Under high torque situations, the Ford yoke can snap at the transition point.

Tech Note 2: Design
QU40855 is made to Spicer 1350 series u-joint specifications. The u-joint is retained by external snap rings. The u-joint cup diameter is 1.-3/16". The overall width of the installed universal joint is 3-7/8". Use with TK40719 or QU40731 universal joints.

Tech Note 3: Fits
QU40855 12 regular splines and two double width splines so it will fit 1-1/2" diameter 14, 15, and 16 spline stub shafts.
