TK40574 Right Inner Axle Shaft for 2002 Ram Dana 60 Front Axle (No CAD)

TK40574 Torque King® Chromoly Right Inner Axle Shaft for 2002 Dodge Ram Dana 60 Front Axles without Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) fits all later production 2002 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 4x4 trucks that are NOT equipped with the vacuum controlled CAD system. This Thru-Hardened, Heavy-Duty, 4140 Chrome-moly axle shaft measures 38-3/8" from the center of the yoke hole to the end. See Notes and CAD Drawing below. USA Made from USA Made Forging. Tech Note 1: CAD
Dodge used the Ball Joint type Dana 60 front axle in Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks from 1994 to 2002. All early 2002 and prior axles are equipped with CAD. During the 2002 model year, there was a mid-year model change to a no disconnect, constantly engaged front axle. TK40574 ONLY fits those late production, no CAD axles, it can not be used in 2000-2002.5 CAD axles as the axle housing is not machined for QU40298 right Inner Axle Seal.

Tech Note 2: Matching Parts
TK40574 takes an internal c-clip type axle universal joint with 1-3/8" diameter cups. The matching axle u-joints are: QU30332 (greaseable hot-forged cross), TK40715 (Premium non-greaseable cold forged cross), and TK40724 (Premium greaseable cold forged cross). Tech Note 3: Wear
If you need an axle shaft, chances are you also need the inner axle oil seals located next to the differential. For 2002 non-CAD Ram 2500, Ram 3500 Dana 60 front axles see QU40298 Oil Seal and QK4802 Seal Kit with installation tools.

Tech Note 4: Dust Seal
TK40574 Does NOT have a shoulder for mounting QA4629 Outboard Axle Shaft to Axle Housing Dust Seal that goes next to the yoke on original shafts. The Seal is not required.
