QU40309 Spindle for 1980-1992 Bronco and F150 with Internal Spline Wheel Hubs is a genuine Dana Spindle Kit for 1980-1986 and 1989-1992 Ford 4x4 Broncos and F150 trucks. QU40309 also fits 1987-1988 Bronco and F150 with internally splined wheel hubs. QU40309 includes your new Spindle with factory installed needle bearing, two v-seals and axle shaft thrust washer. Spindle, Spindle Bearing, and Thrust Washer USA Made, but seals are imported. Non-Stock Special Order.

Tech Note 1: Will Not Fit
For the 1987 and 1988 model year vehicles built to March 1988 (on some models to May 1988), Ford Broncos and F150 4x4s with factory manual hubs have a unique, one piece "pancake" hub/rotor with two large diameter, close set wheel bearings. The lockout hub is a flange mount type that fits over the wheel studs. QU40309 will NOT fit 1987-1988 axles with the "pancake" hub/rotor assembly.

Tech Note 3: Anti-Seize
To prevent corrosion, apply S9978 or S81343 Anti-Seize Compound to the spindle and knuckle mating surfaces.

Tech Note 4: Thrust Washers
Auto Hub and late production manual hubs use either a one piece or three piece thrust washer set between the end of the spindle threads and inboard mounted QU20078 axle shaft snap ring. QU40079 one piece Thrust Washer fits 1986-1992 axles. QU20077 three piece Thrust Washer Set fits 1993-1996 vehicles.
