Tech Note 1: Pinion Depth
Pinion Depth must be set before calculating the differential shim pack thicknesses. Use a dial indicator and QT1099 Master Bearings to determine the amount of shims required to get the correct gear lash and differential bearing preload. This Kit works on all Dodge Ram Dana 80 rear axles, but only fits Ford Super Duty applications to 1995. 1996 and newer Ford Dana 80 axles use different differential shims.
