QU40156 Shift Fork Pad is a genuine original equipment part for Dodge and Jeep 4x4 Dana-Spicer Model 30, Model 44, and Model 60 front axles equipped with vacuum controlled Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) systems. Made from tough synthetic compound that resists wear and cracking. Country of origin not marked, but believed to be USA made. Sold individually. Order two per fork. Note: Two are assembled on QA4628 Shift Fork Kit.

Tech Note 1: Installation
The Pads have to expand to snap into the grooves on your shift fork. Warming the Pads with a hair dryer (Just warm to the touch, NOT hot or melting!) will make it much easier to install these especially in unheated garages. Lay the warmed pad on the edge of your bench, engage a pad lug in the fork groove, and then twist the fork into place.

Fit great and cheap

CAD Shift Fork pad for '98Dodge Dana44
Am going to install a Dodge Ram Dana 44/60 Posi-Lok Cable Actuator System '94-'02 PSL400 in a 1998 1500 Quad Cab RAM = no more pesky and slow CAD vacuum disconnect system. For sake of doing it right, will replace the shift fork pads as the system will be a manual system that will reuse the OEM shift fork. Was glad to find these items at TorqueKing at a good price.
