QU40155 Ford Dana 50 and Dana 60 Outer Axle Shaft Snap Ring This genuine original equipment Axle Shaft Snap Ring fits Ford Dana-Spicer Model 50, Model 50IFS and Model 60 front drive axles in 1978 to 1997 Ford F-250, F-350, 1999-2004 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and 2000 to 2005 Ford Excursion 4x4 vehicles. This Snap Ring gets installed in a groove machined at the outboard end of outer axle shaft. The function is to limit axle shaft lateral movement. USA Made. Sold Individually. Order 2 per axle.

Tech Note 1: Replace Ring if Damaged
Replace the ring if it is stretched or bowed. A damaged ring may pop out of the axle shaft groove which may lead to water leaking into the spindle bearing when the axle shaft moves away from the back of the spindle.
