QU40131 1330 Series Front CV Flange Yoke Assembly for 1994-2005 Dodge Ram

QU40131 1330 Series Front CV Flange Yoke Assembly for 1994-2005 Dodge Ram 4x4 Double-Cardan front Constant Velocity Driveshafts with u-joints that have a cup diameter of 1-1/16". Includes Flange Yoke Casting with QU40744, ball, seat, and seal pre-installed, plus a new spring. You will find this Flange Yoke on all factory 1994 to 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Front Driveshafts plus all 1994 to 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 4x4 Front Driveshafts. Starting with the new Ram 2500/3500 body style introduced in the 2003 Model year, use of the Constant Velocity Joint that had this flange yoke was gradually phased out in favor of a CV Joint using larger universal joints. This Flange Yoke was used on most 2003, some 2004, and very few 2005 model year Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks. Spicer type retrofit shafts for Saginaw CV Shafts used in older GM and Dodge may also use QU40131. Need Tech Help? Tech Note 1: U-Joint Size
The universal joint for this yoke will have 1-1/16" (1.0625" 26.99 mm) diameter cups. The overall width of the joint is 3-5/8" (3.625" 92.08 mm). External snap rings are used to retain the U-Joint. Our matching U-Joint part numbers are TK40721 and QU40774.

Tech Note 2: 1/2" Diameter Stud
The 1/2" diameter stud on Ball Stud Tube Yoke (QU40807) MUST be in good shape. If it is not, the bearing rollers contained inside the CV Ball of the QU40131 will either fall out or break apart in short order. Besides having your Ram broke down again, this type of failure is something we can NOT replace under warranty. Another fairly common no warranty problem is to break a needle bearing by inadvertently dislodging one or more needles during assembly and then forcing the yoke into place.
