QU40062 Dana 60 Lower King Pin Grease Retainer

QU40062 Dana 60 Lower King Pin Grease Retainer is a genuine Dana Spicer service part for all 1975-1993 King Pin type Model 60 and Model 61 open knuckle front drive axles. The function of these Retainers is to seal moisture and road crud from getting in the lower king pin bearing from the top. The retainer is installed between QU50601 Bearing Cup and the forged axle C-Yoke. Use two QU40062 Retainers per vehicle. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Before Installing
Before installing this retainer and QU50601 Bearing Cup, check the bearing bore for nicks and foreign material. Put a really thin bead of sealant on the upper face of the Retainer to seal any imperfections that could channel water past the Retainer and into the bearing.
