Tech Note 1: Kit Components
TK3101 includes these original equipment quality components:

Tech Note 2: Two Types CV Driveshaft Heads
Ford used two types of constant velocity driveshaft heads from 1999-2002, Saginaw/AAM or Spicer. Only Spicer Type CV shafts were used after 2002. During the 2005 Super Duty model year, a Slip Joint Design Change took effect on December 6, 2004. The Boot Clamps in TK3101 Kit are only compatible with the 1999-2005.5 4x4s built before December 6, 2004 with Spicer Type front CV shafts! If you have a 1999-2002 Saginaw/AAM Type Front CV Shaft, see TK3103. If your Super Duty was built after December 5, 2004, see TK3102 (2005.5-2014).

Tech Note 3: Ball Stud Tube Yoke Note
The 1/2" diameter stud on Ball Stud Tube Yoke welded on the CV end of your driveshaft tube (QU40825) MUST be in good shape. If it is not, the bearing rollers contained inside the CV Ball of your new QU40805 CV Flange Yoke will either fall out or break apart in short order. Besides having your Ford broke down again, this type of failure is something we can NOT replace under warranty. Another fairly common no warranty problem is to break a needle bearing by inadvertently dislodging one or more needles during assembly and then forcing the yoke into place.
