QK3075 1355x3R Custom Front Driveshaft Rebuild Kit for 2004-2009 Ram

QK3075 Custom Front Driveshaft Rebuild Kit for the 1355x3R series Double-Cardan Front Constant Velocity Driveshafts used in 2004-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, and Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Trucks. This Kit fits shafts that have a TYPE 1 Slip Yoke Boot, female spline slip yoke and a 3R internal type C-Clip retained front universal joint with 1-1/8" cap diameter. The Double-Cardan CV end will  a 1355 series Double-Cardan Constant Velocity Joint with large 1-3/16" diameter cups. QK3075 Kit includes 2 QU40731 Universal Joints for the CV, QU40758 Universal Joint for the Slip Yoke, QU40803 CV Flange Yoke, Snap Rings, and Threadlocker.

Tech Note 2: Identify Components
Dodge used several similar Double-Cardan Front Constant Velocity Driveshafts, but each type will have certain unique parts even though the assemblies may interchange. For instance, in the CV Joint, most 2003 and some 2004 trucks use a small size u-joint which has 1-1/16" diameter cups. All others are equipped with the larger size u-joint, 1-3/16" cups in the CV heads. You must correctly identify what type of components your driveshaft uses before ordering any parts or kits. You need to verify your CV shaft component sizes to ensure you order the correct Kit. Remember, an old truck may have a newer shaft or vice-versa, so be sure to order the parts by type, not just by year!

Tech Note 3: 2004-2009 Dodge Ram Front CV Driveshaft
QK3075 Rebuild Kit is Correct For Your 2004 to 2009 Dodge Ram Front CV Driveshaft IF:
A) The front driveshaft universal joint by the axle has 1-1/8" diameter cups.
B) The front universal is retained by plastic injections (original u-joint) or inside C-Clips (replacement u-joint).
C) The inside distance between the front slip yoke yoke ears is 2-5/8"
D) The two Universal Joints in the CV Joint use external snap rings and have 1-3/16" diameter cups

Tech Note 5: Kit Excludes
To keep the cost as low as possible, this Kit does not include the Dust Seal or Boot Clamps. If needed, order QU40704 Dust Seal and two Type 1 QU50138 Boot Clamps separately.
