QU30191 New 6 Hole Dana 44 & GM 10 Bolt Front Wheel Hub for 1977.5-1991 Chevy, GMC 1/2 Ton and Jeep 4x4s is a new replacement wheel hub with studs for mid 1977 through 1991 Blazer, Jimmy, K10, K15, K1500, and V1500 4x4s plus 1977.5-1991 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer, 1977.5-1983 Jeep Cherokee/Cherokee Chief, and 1977.5-1988 Jeep J10 truck. QU30191 includes your new wheel hub plus six 7/16" wheel bolts (studs). Order bearing cups separately.

Tech Note 1: Hub Includes
QU30191 is a brand new wheel hub. New 7/16" wheel studs are included. The brake rotor and bearing cups are NOT included.

Tech Note 2: Check Runout
For safety, always install NEW wheel studs when assembling the hub and rotor. After assembly, check the rotor brake surfaces for lateral runout. If lateral runout exceeds 0.003", have your hub and rotor resurfaced (preferably with an on-vehicle brake lathe) before placing them in service. Failure to do so may cause brake pedal pulsation during braking.

Tech Note 3: 1977 Models
QU30191 Hubs were used from 1977.5 to 1991 on GM 1/2 ton Dana 44 and GM 10 Bolt front axles. The matching inner wheel bearing has an inside diameter of 2". Early 1977 1/2 ton GM 4x4s with Dana 44 front axles used QU30188U hubs and have an inner wheel bearing that has an inside diameter 1-25/32". If you have a 1977 axle, verify your inner wheel bearing size.

Tech Note 4: Grease Bearings
Before installing your wheel bearings, pack them with QU90018 Pyroplex® grease or other quality, disc brake rated, NLGI Grade 2 wheel bearing grease. I recommend you use QT5500 Wheel Bearing Packer to pack the bearings, but however you pack the bearings, your grease has to be clean and it MUST fill all the air spaces under the cage and between the bearing rollers.

Tech Note 5: Wheel Seal
For best results, install a new wheel seal (QU50091) with QT1506 Seal Installer. QT1506 installer will not damage, ding, or bend the wheel seal and it keeps tension on the seal garter spring so the spring does not jump off the lip (a very common problem with makeshift seal installation methods).
