QU20240U Good Used Ford Dana 50 Loaded Differential Case fits both IFS and Beam type front Dana 50 axles used on popular Ford 3/4 ton and 1 ton 4x4s from 1980 to 2005. These good used, open (Non-Locking) Loaded Differential Cases are complete with the "Spider" Gears and fit 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, and 4.30 ratio Ford Dana 50 Twin Traction Beam or Monobeam front axles on F250, F350, and Excursion 4x4s.

Tech Note 1: Part History
Ford used a Dana 50 Independent Front Suspension (IFS) Twin Traction Beam front axle from 1980 through 1997 on some F250 and F350 4x4s. A Dana 50 Monobeam solid axle was introduced along with the 1999 F250 and F350 Super Duty Single Rear Wheel (SRW) trucks. This axle would continue to be used on many SRW Super Duty trucks until 2002 when it was phased out and replaced by a Dana 60. The Dana 50 monobeam application was also the only axle offered for the 2000-2005 4x4 Ford Excursion. Both the Dana 50 IFS and Dana 50 monobeam axles use the same gear set and differentials.

Tech Note 2: Axle Ratios
QU20240U works with all Ford Dana 50 Axle Ratios in both IFS and monobeam type axles. Ford Dana 50 Axles were built with the following ratios:
3.54: Dana 50IFS 1980-1997 F250, 1980-1985.5 F350
3.73: Dana 50 Monobeam 1999-2002 F250, F350 Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursion
4.10: Dana 50IFS 1980-1997 F250, 1980-1985.5 F350
4.10: Dana 50 Monobeam 1999-2002 F250, F350 Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursion
